Creating a New Political Contributions Approval Request
Overview
Users can create an approval request for political contributions. The approval request will be forwarded to a Compliance Officer for approval.
Navigation
- From the Home screen, click the Home dropdown menu.

- From the Personal Trading screen, click the Approval Requests tab.

- From the Approval Requests screen, click the + New Approval Request button.

Creating a New Political Contribution Approval Request
- From the Create a New Approval screen, click the Political Contributions radio button from the Approval Type field.

- Click the Next button.

- Select the recipient for the contribution from the Contribution Recipient dropdown menu.

Contribution Recipient Field
- Enter the name of the candidate in the Name of Candidate field.
Organization Address Field
- Enter the name of the office the candidate is running for in the Chosen Office for Election field.
Office to Which Seeking Election Field
- Enter the candidate's current position in the Candidate's Current Position field.
Candidate's Current Position Field
- Enter the contribution amount (e.g., amount contributed) or state the non-cash value of the contribution (e.g., services, volunteer labor, use of property, etc.) in the Contribution or Non-Cash Value field.
Contribution or Non-Cash Value Field
- Select the currency the contribution is in from the Currency dropdown menu.

- Select the contribution date from the Calendar pop-up under the Date of Contribution field.

- Select how the user intends to contribute to the political party from the Form of Contribution dropdown menu.

Form of Contribution Field
- Select an option to the question To the best of your knowledge, does or will the candidates have influence over the hiring of an investment adviser by a government entity? If the user selects Yes, they will have to include further details.
- Select an option to the question Have you made any other contributions to this candidate, or payments on behalf of this candidate's candidacy, during this election cycle? If the user selects Yes, they will have to include further details.
Question Fields
- Include support documentation by dragging and dropping files into the designated area on the Supporting Documentation field, or select the top proportion of the Supporting Documentation field and select a file from the connected PC.
Supporting Documentation Field
- Click the designated area on the Supporting Documentation field to add a web link. For more information on adding a web link to the project, see the Adding a Web Link article.

(Optional) Click the following icons to edit or delete an image from the request:
- Edit: Click the Edit icon to rename the file.
- Delete: Click the Delete icon to remove the file from the request.

- Enter a keyword in the Employee field and select your name from the dropdown menu. Entering your name indicates you acknowledge all policies and laws pertaining to this action.

- Click the Submit button to send the request to a Compliance Officer.
Submit Button
- The Compliance Officer will receive an email notification indicating a request requires action.
Notification
- Click the Cancel button to cancel the request and return to the previous screen. Compliance Officers will not see a cancelled request.
