Creating a New Breach Update


Overview

A Compliance Officer must update rule breaches and conduct rule breaches that are sent to the regulatory body with the information received from the regulatory body before a rule breach can be closed.


User Account Requirements

The user account used to log into Kroll's Managed Compliance Software must have Compliance Officer permission to access the Breaches section.


Required Information/Setup

Please refer to the Closing a Completed Rule Breach for more information on closing a rule breach.

  1. From the Home screen, click the Home dropdown menu.

  1. Click the Compliance Team Portal link.

  1. From the Personal Trade screen, click the Breaches tab.

  1. From the Breaches screen, click a Rule Breach under the Open Rule Breaches section or click a Conduct Rule Breach under the Pending Regulatory Notification section.

Creating a New Breach Update

The process for adding a breach update is the same for rule breaches and conduct rule breaches. For illustrative purposes we will be updating a rule breach.

  1. From the Rule Breach screen, scroll to the Please Note section.

  1. Click the + Create New link.

  1. From the Create a new Breach Update pop-up, enter the breach update information received from the regulatory body or any closure information in the Breach Closure Progress field.

  1. Include support documentation by dragging and dropping files into the designated area on the Attachments field or select the top proportion of the Attachments field and select a file from the connected PC.

  1. Click the designated area on the Attachments field to add a web link. For more information on adding a web link to the project, see the Adding a Web Link article.

  1. (Optional) Click the following icons to edit or delete an image from the request:
    • Edit: Click the Edit icon to rename the file.
    • Delete: Click the Delete icon to remove the file from the request.

  1. Click the Create button to add the breach update information to the breach.
  2. From the Rule Breach screen, once all regulatory information is added to the breach click the Breach Resolved button to complete the breach.
